The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment Wednesday night indicating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and had been in communication with the NFL.
The team did not mention Rice specifically in their announcement and said they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who also did not mention Rice by name, shared a series of photos on social media that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. She stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the team selected in the 2023 draft.
No police reports were available in the Kansas City suburb where the alleged abuse is said to have occurred.
Rice missed the first six games of this NFL campaign following an NFL suspension for his role in instigating a crash on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. He was given a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
Statistically, he concluded the season with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a ten-year span.
